Routine care helps prevent cavities and gum disease, and keeps existing dental work under review.
Routine dental care helps us monitor your teeth and gums, discuss changes, and recommend ways to lower your risk of future problems. Your preventive plan should fit your needs.
Preventive dentistry is the routine care that keeps your teeth and gums under review: examinations, cleanings, and a conversation about the things that raise your own risk of decay or gum disease. The aim is to find changes early, while they are still small and simple to deal with.

Problems found early are usually simpler and less costly to treat than ones found later.
Improves overall health and reduces risks of certain diseases.
Boosts your confidence with a healthy, beautiful smile.
Here is what each stage of treatment usually involves. Your dentist will talk you through anything that differs in your case.
Request an AppointmentWe check your teeth, gums, and bite, and recommend images when they are needed to see between or below the surface.
Plaque and hardened deposits are removed, and we point out the places that are proving hard to reach.
We talk through the things that affect your own risk, such as diet, medications, dry mouth, and your cleaning routine.
We agree how often you should be seen. This is based on your oral health and risk, so it is not the same for everyone.
It has been a while since your last visit — There is no penalty for a gap. An examination re-establishes where things stand.
Your gums bleed when you brush — Bleeding is worth having assessed rather than waiting to see whether it settles.
You have noticed sensitivity — Sensitivity to hot, cold, or sweet things can have several causes, some of which are straightforward to address.
Your child's teeth are changing — As adult teeth come through, it is a useful point to discuss cleaning, sealants, and fluoride.

My husband and I saw Dr. K. and we loved him! The entire staff was amazing. Right when you enter the dentistry, you feel like you’re in good hands. Dr. K takes his time, explains all the details, and is super gentle. Debbie in the front and Julie the hygienist were amazing. We will take on the drive from LA any time!
Went in for my regular check up today. The office is always efficient, polite, and cheerful. Doctor is very thorough and does not try to find things to ‘fix’, I have had some unnecessary work done in the past with other dentists. We have been going to this dentist for a couple of years now and the care is very good and consistent.
